VOID

Void- not occupied : vacant

You dont want a void
in your life too long. The Lord gives you and opportunity to fill it with His
love, but this can only happen through reading his Word and learning about how much he loves you.

Then letting the Holy Spirit fill that void. Unfortunately, there is an enemy fighting to fill that
void which would only lead to destruction

John 10:10
The
thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have
life, and have it to the full.

Wholeness in every area of your life is making sure you bring God into
every area of your life. Sometimes in the hectic, microwave society we get so
bogged down that we just end up walking through life like we are waiting to
die.  I fit everything and everyone else in, then there was no room left for
God. So I had to cut alot of things and people out of my life in order to bring
God in. And when I did, my relationships were better then the ones I had before.
So take inventory in your life, what and who can you make boundaries with. Then
you can let God come in to heal and set your free from your bondages.

Gossip

Definition of Gossip-

1: a person who habitually reveals
personal or sensational facts about others
2 : rumor or report of an
intimate nature b : a chatty talk

James
4:11-12
11 Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who
speaks against a brother or sister[d] or judges them speaks against the law and
judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in
judgment on it. 12 There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to
save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?

Women find themselves far too often in this position. When
everything you say about the 3rd person(s) always hurts everyone involved. The
person who is gossiping, the person who is listening to the gossip and the
person(s) or situation that is being gossiped about. The enemy finds a way to
twist everything you say by giving you something to talk about that certain
situation that involves that certain person(s) and which then allows the enemy
legal access for him (called doorway) to come back and torment you later.

Ultimately, no one ever fully understands what another person(s) is
going through. As we all know no one can ever truly know what goes on behind
closed doors, good or bad……I challenge you (and myself) to refrain from the
fleshly desire to talk about someone else when the situation arises. If you have
gossiped about someone you should recognize, repent, and turn away. Physical
healing in your body can be hindered because of what you have spoken about
others.

I too have to be very careful especially that I have experienced
all aspects of gossip. I have gossiped, listened to gossip and I have been the
one gossiped about and none of them gave me any peace of mind or fulfillment in
my heart.

Proverbs 16:28
A
perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close
friends.

What Goes Around Comes Around

What Goes Around Comes Around

John 20:23

*23 If you
forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain
the sins of
any, they are retained.”*

Did you know if you speak evil
against someone that is a curse and what you speak against another person does
return back to you.
It wasn’t until till Several years I started having issues
with my colon is when I began to learn how serious the implications of my
yelling and verbal abuse to others had affected my physical and spiritual
being.

Where
there is unresolved family conflicts of bitterness, unresolved
antagonism,
words of frustration and anger have occurred it causes damage
throughout the successive generations. (Henry Wright “More
Excellent Way).
The spiritual root of Colon
issues are slander of the tongue, and a deeply
rooted in bitterness.
I have forgiven my forefathers from previous generations from anger and verbal abuse
from when it began. Anger and verbal abuse is a generational
curse and
I have taken responsibility by repenting and renouncing it from my life. The
curse has been broken and our family is free from this cycle of anger and verbal
abuse.

If you are frustrated all the
time with your physical or spiritual state. In your
quiet time ask the Father God to reveal to you what is hindering you, so that
you
can truly be free.

Father
we ask you to set someone free today
Let their life,
strength, and words of revelation come from You. Let a heavenly presence of your
love surround them in the time
when the enemy might want to creep back into
their lives. Let your conviction rise in them
so that when temptation comes
that they will not go down that path. Let the weight this has
put on them
both spiritually and physically completely drop off of them now in the mighty
blood and name
of Jesus. I love you
Lord
and I thank you for your son and the freedom
w
e will always have. AMEN!

James 4:7-8 *Therefore
submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw
near to God
and He will draw near to you*

Gradualism

Definition of Gradualism:  proceeding or changing by steps or
degrees
It takes 21 days to form a new habit whether good or bad. Have you broke
bad habits? Have you formed new ones? Please write down what you never wanna go
back to, and what you are going to step it up on.
Look around you, what used to be fresh and new, your house, your car, your
clothes, ect… and in time anything starts to gradually become old. The
only option to get a new body is surgery. Even then you are taking a gamble. As
a trainer, with spiritual beliefs people ask me all the time  what I feel about
plastic surgery. I do not believe in Gastric Bypass, unless the person is about
to die. As far as cosmetic, the only way I would give a blessing to my clients
to get lipo, lifts, breasts, ect… is if they have the right motive, emotionally
right, and I have seen them do my program (or another healthy program) and
completely finish with success. Other then that NO Way!
Do not worry about things, focus on discerning the areas of your
life that will ultimatly matter later and God will take care of your needs his
promise in Luke 12:22-23
22 Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not
worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will
wear. 23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.
So dont let gradualism sink in about THINGS, and more THINGS. Focus on what
matters and make it better. Deal with the issues that hinder success in any
area. Whether it being from you having to control everything, over spending,
worrying, being in constant fear, gossiping….whatever it is that the enemy
keeps you in bondage in that distroys the relationships around you.

Isolation

Ladies, I have already sent this out, but the Lord told me to send it again……PLEASE Ladies, you are not alone!!!!!

Isolation

1: to set apart from others; also : quarantine
2: to select from among others; especially : to separate from another substance so as to obtain pure or in a free state

Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you

Our enemy would like nothing better then for you to remove yourself from everything and person that brings your life (positive, encouraging things) again. The deep pit of depression where it takes everything you have to get out of bed, let alone see people or go workout. The consuming guilt that you carry around with you because of a secret or lie you have been holding on to. Or shame you feel and continues to program your mind because of your past.

I encourage you whether you are experiencing any of the above DO NOT ISOLATE yourself from God and others.

Normally, the very things you miss out on, you probably needed to be there. But the Lord will always make another way for you to get the message again. I had people quit this class before it started and later tell me it was because of those various things listed above and they just couldn’t get over it (they told me later).

This is NOT a boot camp, this is a Transformation and it begins with realizing I DON’T care what you did or where you came from, I CARE about where your going!!!

As I have learned there is a void in all of us that no one but God can fill. But I will tell you if you don’t have friends, mentors, or people that aren’t speaking life (positive, encouraging things) into your when you are at your lowest, you need to pray for God to bring them into your life.

I normally don’t isolate myself, it takes a whole lot. But when I do, it is bad.
Although we should ultimately go to God, sometimes in our isolation we isolate from God as well. It is a friend who knows, cares,  pray you back to your Marker (God) again.

I prayed for all of you in this Spring 2012 Class, that God would bring Janet and I the right class (women) for this time, if you don’t have friends or people like I have mentioned above, your about too :)

Father in the name of Jesus thank you for having us realize that you are our complete source. That if their is no friends, family around you will always be there. I personally thank you for my friends you have brought in my life that in low times have redirected me back to you. I pray any person reading this now, that may not have those types of relationships, that you bring Godly people into their life to speak life to them. I love you Father, and thank you for who you are in Jesus name …AMEN

Testimony from Sherry M

I appreciate Karla and Janet so much for the daily communications and I can’t thank them enough for all they have done to support us over the last 24 weeks. As for our Summer 2011 class…..ahhhh….the last twelve weeks have been quite the roller coaster on this ride we know as LIFE.  The journey has been bitter sweet and filled with as many joys as pains.

I felt the need to list a few of the Joys and Pains I’ve heard, experienced and seen over the last 3 months

·         that slight breeze right in the middle of work out when you want to give up but you don’t

·         how calming TWO minutes of peace can be

·         Car accidents

·         falls with injuries

·         Armed robbery attempts

·         stomach viruses

·         new jobs

·         new daycares or preschools

·         carpool

·         60+ days of 100 degree temperatures

·         Weddings

·         Funerals

·         Cancer

·         Births

·         Heart attacks

·         New beginnings

·         New dress sizes

·         Meal planning

·         Sugar Detox

BUT what an AWESOME GOD we serve who gives us the strength to get up when we simply want to give up, who continues to bless us beyond what we could EVER imagine. It has been a blessing to me to watch my peers and the progress each of them have made as well. I remember clearly the first workout and which exercise or activity each of us struggled or battled with. It’s wonderful to be able to look around during our class at week 11 and confidently say that NONE of us have those same battles and we’ve overcome our fears and are well on our way to permanent changes in our lives. These changes will undeniably help make us each become better women, friends, sisters, mothers, wives, co-workers and MOST importantly Christians. Each mommySTRONG has meant something different for me and this session was no different…..the distractions were numerous and finally MY husband and I are on the same page. We are partnering to make meals and ensure each of us have time carved out to exercise our bodies…..our children are able to witness both parents seeking to live long, healthy, active lives.

I’ve already plotted my plan out for post mommySTRONG….i’ve decided that I enjoy the group level activities and there are 2 classes I really like at LA fitness that of course don’t come close to mommySTRONG but they will do J. The other 4 days will be cardio on my own and the kids have helped a lot in this area. During lunches and snacks at work, I am always prepared and don’t attend as many birthday lunches or happy hours as I used to…..just being more selective. The changes have been gradual but that’s what works for ME. The most important take away I pray each lady has is that “YOU must do what works for you”, you can’t walk in someone else’s shoes and share their results…..we work out as a group but our continued success is totally up to each of us. I will continue to pray for this group of ladies and their progress, never get too busy to remember YOURSELF….it took me many years to figure it out but I GET it now. I just want to share a prayer that I often say at work that has been changed slightly for the purpose intended here but when I get weary I read it out loud and my hope is that is helpful to someone else as well

Father wherever we may go let us bring Your presence with us.
We speak Your peace, Your grace, and Your perfect order into each of our lives. .
We acknowledge Your Lordship over all that will be spoken, thought, decided and accomplished in the years to come.

Lord Jesus, we thank You for the gifts You have deposited in each of us.
We do not take them lightly, but commit to using them responsibly and well.
Give us each a fresh supply of strength and knowledge; on which to draw as we continue our separate journeys

Anoint our creativity, our ideas, our energy so that even our smallest tasks may bring You honor.
When we are confused, guide us. When we are weary, energize us.
Lord, when we are burned out, infuse us with the light of Your Holy Spirit.

May the workouts that we do and the way we do them, bring hope, life, and courage to all that we come in contact with.
And Oh Lord, even in this day’s most stressful moment, may we rest in You.
In the mighty Name that is above all Names,
In the Matchless Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus we Pray, AMEN AMEN AMEN

Testimony for Trainer Janet

My Search for Significance
Addictions,
bad habits, hang ups, and strongholds plagued the young-adult years of my
life. One bad decision after the other, I continued to search for my
significance, purpose and value through my bank account, my boyfriend and my
career. I had a strong foundation from my childhood. I had the knowledge but
there was no practical application in my life. I knew what was right but I was
living life by my own moral code justifying every decision. On the outside, I
was the girl that had it altogether. But you know what they say, “If you aren’t
humble yet, you are about to be!” and  “Pride comes before the fall.” Let’s just
say that I have had enough humble pie. Thank God for new taste buds!
I
did just enough to get by and ease my guilty conscience. Went to church “just
enough”. Tithed “just enough”. Prayed “just enough”. Most would call this “Going
through the Motions” but was my tree bearing any fruit? No, it was STARVING. I
conformed to the world. I was addicted to and sought comfort and pleasure in
climbing the corporate ladder, counting the money in my bank account,
drinking/partying, sexual relationships, buying what I wanted when I wanted it.
I was blazing my own trails all the while thinking I’d be the statistic anomaly
that would make it work MY way. Do you know where that led me? Divorced, in
debt, broken, and just rather unhappy with myself. (The wages of sin is death
<Divorce, Disease, Depression, Addiction, etc> but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23)
As
a girl that has always struggled with pride and people-pleasing, needless to
say, I was rather embarrassed by the outcome of my bad decisions. I had
conformed to the world and there was just no real difference in me, someone who
claimed to be a Christian (Christ-Follower) and the rest of the world. (Romans
12:2. Do not conform to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your
mind….) When I finally took a BIG GULP, swallowed my pride, admitted that I
wasn’t perfect, sought help/healing/counseling, and made the decision to give it
all to Jesus, I felt FREE for the 1st time in my life. I felt redeemed, forgiven
and lighter than I’d ever felt before. (Isaiah 53:5. But He was pierced for our
transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought
us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are HEALED.)
Do
I still struggle? Yes. Will I always struggle? Yes. We are all sinners. (Romans
5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still
sinners, Christ died for us.)  BUT I rest in knowing Who set me free, Who holds
my purpose in His hands, Who has already overcome for me.”I have told you these
things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble.
But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33. I know Who to turn to
when I face a difficult decision. I find comfort and rest in my Almighty God. He
was there every step of the way, waiting patiently for me to turn to Him.
(Hebrews 13:5, Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with
what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I
forsake you.”
My
scars are reminders of my trips off the beaten path. They remind me of my
weakness, my fragility and pride. I am not proud of them but I am thankful
for God’s grace and mercy. God will use all of our tattered fabric and turn it
into a beautiful tapestry. He will take all the thorns and turn them into a
crown. He will use it for His glory. I share my story with you so that you may
find and experience the kind of freedom that I feel today. I want my life and
everything that I do to glorify Him. 1 Peter 1:3-9 sums it all up!!!
3Praise be to the God and Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy he has given us NEW BIRTH into a
living HOPE through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that
can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you,
5 who through faith
are shielded by God’s POWER until the coming of the salvation that is ready to
be revealed in the last time. 6 In all this you greatly
rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all
kinds of trials. 7
These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth
than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise,
glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8 Though you have not seen Him,
you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are
filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the end
result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”

Rejoice

The 7th R is Rejoice.

Give God the glory for your freedom. Give God the thanks that a piece of dust like you could experience grace and mercy from a living God Who loves you. He is worthy of your praise. The greatest song of worship, power and majesty is in

Isaish 35:1-10
The Future Glory of Zion

1 The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them,
And the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose;
2 It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice,
Even with joy and singing.
The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it,
The excellence of Carmel and Sharon.
They shall see the glory of the LORD,
The excellency of our God.
3 Strengthen the weak hands,
And make firm the feeble knees.
4 Say to those who are fearful-hearted,
” Be strong, do not fear!
Behold, your God will come with vengeance,
With the recompense of God;
He will come and save you.”
5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened,
And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
6 Then the lame shall leap like a deer,
And the tongue of the dumb sing.
For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness,
And streams in the desert.
7 The parched ground shall become a pool,
And the thirsty land springs of water;
In the habitation of jackals, where each lay,
There shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
8 A highway shall be there, and a road,
And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness.
The unclean shall not pass over it,
But it shall be for others.
Whoever walks the road, although a fool,
Shall not go astray.
9 No lion shall be there,
Nor shall any ravenous beast go up on it;
It shall not be found there.
But the redeemed shall walk there,
10 And the ransomed of the LORD shall return,
And come to Zion with singing,
With everlasting joy on their heads.
They shall obtain joy and gladness,
And sorrow and sighing shall flee away

Resist

Resist- to exert oneself so as to counteract or defeat <he resisted temptation

When your issue tries to come back resist it

Number six “R” to freedom is resist. James 4:7 says that we are to submit ourselves therefore to God. Then, resist the devil and he will flee from you.

The next scripture is tough
2 Corinthians 10:6 “Having a readiness to avenge all disobedience after your disobedience is fulfilled.” Do you remember what Samuel said to Saul?

1 Samuel 15:23: “Obedience is greater then Sacrifice, for rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft and idolatry.

What you have dealt with will try to come back. Luke 11:24, When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. That house is you. This is why when you repent and ask for forgiveness for something, say Anger, that it will try and come back. We see this all the time with domestic violence cases. Most of the time they are men beating the women, ( but woman DO beat men) for the most part the person is very remorseful later and begs for the one they beat to come back, and they promise never to do it again. This is a prime example of how you must repent and recognize when anger (or whatever your thing is) tries to come back and resist the temptation to act on it.

That is why we need God and each other. (Henry Wright, “A More Excellent Way”)

Even though I have been delivered from anger and bitterness, it doesn’t mean these spirits don’t try and come back. I now have learned, recognized, and discerned when they are trying to re operate in my life. Remember everyone is different once you are delivered from your thing: depression, self image, laziness, overeating, stealing , lying, ect…… this means you have taken your issue through the 6 “R’s” up to this point and you can recognize when they try to come back. If you fail the test and you fall off the wagon, get right back up. In the beginning you might feel overwhelmed that your fighting these thoughts off multiple times a day, but stay accountable and in prayer. Eventually, it will become easier and you will have victory.

You see the correlation between the above and losing weight and eating right, if you fall off the wagon don’t quit, get back up again
