Week 7 Day 3- Laziness

 Week 7 Day 3- Laziness

Definition of LAZY

1 : disinclined to activity or exertion : not energetic or vigorous b : encouraging inactivity or indolence
3: moving slowly : sluggish
4: placed on its side

Everyone can become lazy or have days of laziness. If this is the norm for you, WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT IT? There are so many scriptures about how God feels about lazy people. As you read the ones below the lazy person stays where they are at and hardly ever gets ahead. Make the changes necessary today to focus on one area of your life you know you are lazy and CHANGE IT! If is this is a struggle God will always be ready to help the willing, but you will have to meet him half way.

Proverbs 20:4
Sluggards do not plow in season; so at harvest time they look but find nothing

Proverbs 10:5
He who gathers crops in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.

Proverbs 12:24
Diligent hands will rule, but laziness ends in forced labor

Proverbs 19:15
Laziness brings on deep sleep, and the shiftless go hungry.–

There are lots of other reason why people might be getting ahead that doesn’t pertain to laziness, but let’s make sure we rule this one out.

Week 7 Day 2- Gradualism

 Week 7 Day 2-Gradualism

Definition of Gradualism:  proceeding or changing by steps or degrees

It takes 21 days to form a new habit whether good or bad. Have you broke bad habits? Have you formed new ones? Please write down what you never wanna go back to, and what you are going to step it up on.

Look around you, what used to be fresh and new, your house, your car, your clothes, ect… and in time anything starts to gradually become old. The only option to get a new body is surgery. Even then you are taking a gamble. As a trainer, with spiritual beliefs people ask me all the time  what I feel about plastic surgery. I do not believe in Gastric Bypass, unless the person is about to die. As far as cosmetic, the only way I would give a blessing to my clients to get lipo, lifts, breasts, ect… is if they have the right motive, emotionally right, and I have seen them do my program (or another healthy program) and completely finish with success. Other then that NO Way!

Do not worry about things, focus on discerning the areas of your life that will ultimatly matter later and God will take care of your needs his promise in Luke 12:22-23

22 Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. 23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.

So dont let gradualism sink in about THINGS, and more THINGS. Focus on what matters and make it better. Deal with the issues that hinder success in any area. Whether it being from you having to control everything, over spending, worrying, being in constant fear, gossiping….whatever it is that the enemy keeps you in bondage in that distroys the relationships around you.

Week 7 Day 1

Week 7 Day 1

 Definition of COMMAND

: to direct authoritatively : order
: to exercise a dominating influence over : have command of: as a
: to have at one’s immediate disposal
: to have or exercise direct authority : govern  to give orders

7 So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8 I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them

You see in verse 7 God didn’t say,”Hey if you want to, or if you feel like it” then prophesy. Ezekiel said as I was commanded! And Ezekiel did it immediately, and saw immediate result. How many times does the Lord command us to do things and we take our time. Do you realize that disobedience to the Lord is bondage.  So whatever the Lord is telling you to do, DO IT, Obey Quickly. Whether to forgive someone, to pray for a stranger, end a toxic relationship, to give something without having anything in return…whatever…even if you do not understand, Do it because the Lord says,

Proverbs 3:5-8
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart
       and lean not on your own understanding;

6 in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.

 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the LORD and shun evil.

8 This will bring health to your body
       and nourishment to your bones

Reread verse 8……………………..Health to your body and nourishment to your BONES!

Week 5 Day 4- Meditate

 Week 5 Day 4- Meditate

Meditate-to engage in contemplation or reflection

Joshua 1:8-9 (New International Version)
8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Lets look at the first part
8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it

If we are to be more like Christ, why wouldn’t we read about him, the things he promises us are wonderful. I have asked this question to myself so many times. Because when I get up early and read, journal, and pray I feel great. I do think about it for the rest of the day. Can the day still go bad, yes, but it makes it easier to deal with the issues.

The Lord gave this scripture to my husband and I for our fitness business several years ago for us to realize to be obedient, regardless, if we want to. Stay the course no matter what. Get back up on the horse if you fell off or had a bad weekend. Remember to use the people (women) you have met to help you. Watch out for this week is distractions, be more disciplined then ever so you can overcome anything!

Week 5 Day 3- Foolish Man

Week 5 Day 3- The Foolish Man

Proverbs 14:7- 7Go from the presence of a foolish and self-confident man, for you will not find knowledge on his lips
The old saying birds of a feather flock together, Who are you hanging around? You know my circle of friends has changed over the years. I distinctly remembering when I started following Christ that place when I had my Church friends and still had my worldly partying friends. Being stuck in the Gray area can be miserable. You don’t realize it until you make the complete transition. Eventually, God will remove some people, but there is always 1 person that you will have to start distancing yourself from on your own. God wants to see if you are going to meet him. This is free will part.

Proverb 13:20-
20 He who walks with wise men will be wise,
But the companion of fools will be destroyed.

Everyone knows definition of insanity, Do the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.I don’t wanna sound like the broken record, BUT do the opposite, and actually get a different result. Start surrounding yourself with people that are moving forward, not keeping you down, or stuck in the grey. Who are the foolish people in your life? Are they influencing you? Are they stuck going around the same mountain? Could there be a link?

I had to realize (even this season) but with mommySTRONG I cant take it personal. People either commit and finish or they don’t. Distractions happen of course, but at some point people have to look and recognize their destructive patterns and lack of commitment towards thier health. I cant be more committed in someones else life, then they are.

Week 5 day 4

Week 5 Day 4 -Pre-destination vs Free Will

Pre-destination- the doctrine that God in consequence of his foreknowledge of all events infallibly guides those who are destined for salvation

This can be a very sticking subject for some people in  and out of the church, but I will give you my 2 cents. I believe in both.  Lets not mistake, God knows everything. The beginning to the end. The word states:

Revelation 21:6
He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life.

The Lord ultimately knows who is going to do what and how. He is the creator of the earth and heavens. Man (people) were created for relationship. Relationship with him. Which leads me into Free Will.

Free Will- voluntary choice or decision

Even though God knows the outcome of all situations, he gives you a choice. If he didnt give us a choice then he put us on this earth to be robots. But as I told you above it is about relationship. That is what God wanted with us from the very beginning. So we have a choice to read his word, pray to him, and grow in knowledge. So you can hear his voice. I hear from God, but it is only because I have spent the last 6 years of my life reading about how and why he created everything, what he wants for me, and what he wants me to accoumplish for HIM. I wouldnt have been able to tell you that 6 yrs ago, because I didnt know him. Even then he used other people, signs, and wonders to show me he was there. I choose to follow him and to learn more…..this is Free Will.

Ecclesiastes 3:11
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.–

Week 4 Day 5

 Week 4 Day 5- Resist

Resist- to exert oneself so as to counteract or defeat <he resisted temptation

When your issue tries to come back resist it

Number six “R” to freedom is resist. James 4:7 says that we are to submit ourselves therefore to God. Then, resist the devil and he will flee from you.

The next scripture is tough
2 Corinthians 10:6 “Having a readiness to avenge all disobedience after your disobedience is fulfilled.” Do you remember what Samuel said to Saul?

1 Samuel 15:23: “Obedience is greater then Sacrifice, for rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft and idolatry.

What you have dealt with will try to come back. Luke 11:24, When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. That house is you. This is why when you repent and ask for forgiveness for something, say Anger, that it will try and come back. We see this all the time with domestic violence cases. Most of the time they are men beating the women, ( but woman DO beat men) for the most part the person is very remorseful later and begs for the one they beat to come back, and they promise never to do it again. This is a prime example of how you must repent and recognize when anger (or whatever your thing is) tries to come back and resist the temptation to act on it.

That is why we need God and each other. (Henry Wright, “A More Excellent Way”)

Even though I have been delivered from anger and bitterness, it doesn’t mean these spirits don’t try and come back. I now have learned, recognized, and discerned when they are trying to re operate in my life. Remember everyone is different once you are delivered from your thing: depression, self image, laziness, overeating, stealing , lying, ect…… this means you have taken your issue through the 6 “R’s” up to this point and you can recognize when they try to come back. If you fail the test and you fall off the wagon, get right back up. In the beginning you might feel overwhelmed that your fighting these thoughts off multiple times a day, but stay accountable and in prayer. Eventually, it will become easier and you will have victory.

You see the correlation between the above and losing weight and eating right, if you fall off the wagon don’t quit, get back up again

Week 4 Day 4- Remove

Week 4 Day 4- Remove it

Remove- to change the location, position, station, or residence of

Get rid of this ISSUE for once and all!

The fifth R to Freedom is remove what you have renounced. I can bring you to a place of recognition (discernment) responsibility, repentance, and renouncing openly what evil stands for in your life, but have you removed it? Removing sin is this: not only have I renounced you, but you and I cannot exist at the same place at the same time together. I am removing you:you have to go. (Henry Wright “A More Excellent Way”)

If any of you are confused, with any of the words, then I encourage you to do a word study. Ask God to reveal to you what it is you need to be taking through the 8 R’s……Think of the one issue that you act out, think about or do that you shouldn’t. If you are understanding these principals you can start going through any others that you might be dealing with. Below is a sample prayer:

Father in the name of Jesus, I come to you and ask for forgiveness for any sins I know about and the ones I may not know about. I come asking forgiveness for becoming one with any spirits of _______(name yours)____________________ ie:Fear, rejection, anger, gossip, complaining, pity (low self image) denial, laziness, procrastination ect……

I recognize that I have done this or have been acting this out, I repent now in the name of Jesus. I renounce it and remove it from my life forever, never to return. I thank you Father, for forgiving and healing me. I ask the Holy Spirit to fill the void or hole where ________________(name yours again)______________ use to be. AMEN

Some of you a huge weight will be lifted and you will see the affects immediately, others of you as you do this you will see the literal weight on you begin to drop over the course of a month. Like I have mentioned many times about myself with Bitterness and Anger, when I repented and removed it  I dropped 9 lbs. Do I still deal with bitterness and Anger, absolutely, I get triggered but I have knowledge on how I choose to respond.

WHATEVER YOU ARE HOLDING ON TO IS HOLDING YOU BACK.

Week 4 Day 3- Renounce

 Week 4 Day 3- Renounce

Renounce- to refuse to follow, obey, or recognize any further

You must make what you recognize your enemy and Renounce it

After you have repented, which means taking responsibility after recognition and discernment, the next step is to renounce. A lot of people repent, but they don’t mean it. A lot of people have remorse, but they don’t change on the inside. To repent literally means to “turn away from.” There are many scriptures in the Bible where God told u to get away from idols and heathen practices because they will ruin us.

1 Corinthians 10:21-22 (Amplified Bible)
21You cannot drink the Lord’s cup and the demons’ cup. You cannot partake of the Lord’s table and the demons’ table. 22Shall we thus provoke the Lord to jealousy and anger and indignation? Are we stronger than He [that we should defy Him]?

Get away from evil- renounce it as fast as you can. Develop a perfect hatred for the evil in your life. Separate yourself from evil he does. Learn to separate yourself and others from their sin (Pastor Henry Wright)

What are you doing that you need to turn away from?  Take inventory and be like Nike “Just Do It”
