Week3 Day 4- Reconize

Week 3 Day 4- Recognize is the 1st of the 8 R’s you will learn to your Pathway to Wholeness and Freedom

1.Recognize: to acknowledge formally: as

You must recognize what IT is? What is your it, take aother look at the 7 Main spirits people battle with, what is your it?

Recognize the problem-( have discernment ). In Isaiah 5:13, God said, My people have gone into captivity because they have no knowledge. They had no discernment. In Hosea 4:6, God said, My people parish for lack of Knowledge. They had no discernment. Hebrews 5:14 tells us that strong meat belongs to those of full aged, even those that by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good an evil. Not just good—you must be able to discern evil also. (Henry Wright “A More Excellent Way)

There are 2 gifts from the Holy Spirit taught in the 1 Corinthians 12. One is the gift of wisdom and the other is the gift of knowledge. What I am giving you now? I am operating in the gift of Knowledge and the gift of wisdom is in your life right now. I am also operating in the gift of faith. (Henry Wright “A More Excellent Way)

Knowledge ties the past to the present, but
wisdom takes the present and moves it into the future

We are taking your past and bringing it to the present so you can see what in the world is going on in your present state. Then God , through wisdom, can take you into your future to change your circumstances. It’s going to take faith and the work of the Holy Spirit to do the rest of it, but we have to be able to teach first because the faith comes from hearing the Word of God

 (Romans 10:17)
17So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

So as you begin your journey, be encouraged and FEAR NOT your Lord God is with you wherever you go, and this class was a vehicle created to come alongside you and help you with this journey. Some of the most incredible friends I have , God brought them to this class. I have trained of 90+ women through this class over the last 4 years and I keep in contact with almost all of them on some level. All of You will be no different

Testimony fro Ericka

Greetings Beloved Ones,

Wow, we are in the 7th month, 4th day of 2011. Happy Independence Day!!! We wanted to send blessings, light, and love to you and your beautiful families today. I know that today is a day of celebration with family and friends over some good ole barbecue, cold iced tea, sweet potato pie, and the such but I wanted to encourage you today to take a moment  of silence in gratitude and thank God for all the freedoms that we have as a people. And then, take a moment and pray for those that might not have the same freedoms that we have.

So many times in our busy lives we forget to be thankful for all that God has blessed us with, first and foremost the ability to have woke up this morning with all the activities working in our limbs, the ability to see, sense, smell, walk, and talk. I am on a 12 week personal self transformation journey and this program has already pushed me beyond my limits and definitely out of my comfort zone. Thus far, I have realized that I have become complacent and unthankful in some areas in my life. When I started this journey I thought it was about fitness and right eating, but no God is revealing so much more, He is revealing me to me and breaking up the fallow ground and exposing my illusions about my pride and possessions, in which none of it belongs to me; it all belongs to Him, and He has given it to me as a gift to enjoy and not covet. Today is one of those days like many others where I am humbled by His chastisement and love for me and my family. I truly understand that it is His good pleasure to give us the keys of the kingdom and wisdom has to be the principal thing everyday.

This scripture came to mind and I want to share it with you – And I say to you, Make requests, and they will be answered; what you are searching for, you will get; when you give the sign, the door will be open to you (Luke 11:9) Bible in Basic English

What you are seeking? Ask in faith, love, gratitude, sincerity of heart, and mind. Ask in the place of another, and it will be given unto you according to His perfect will for your life.

We pray that you open wide the gates of your heart, and let nothing resist the inflowing of God’s love.  It is wonderful indeed for you to slowly grow into the surety of God’s unconditional love.

We love you dearly!!!

Week 3 Day 3- Strong Man Spirits

Week 3 Day 3- The Strong Man Spirits

Last week and yesterday I went through the 7 Strong Man spirits.

1.) Bitterness
2.) Rejection
3.) Accusation
4.) Occultism
5.) Jealousy and Envy
6.) Unloving
7.) Fear

Some of might be thinking “well I thought there were more then that.” There are, but they are the underlings to the Main one. For instance, unforgiveness, resentment, murder (murder of the mouth), retaliation all are underlings to Bitterness. I will discuss others but if you focus on the Main Strong Man then you may knock out many. For the rest of the week I will be sharing with you what to do, how to discern (recognize) them not only with you but with others around you.

Being able to understand why a person who is fine one minute and then all of a sudden get triggered and become fearful, or in rage/anger, or depressed. Well the bible tells us

Ephesians 6:12

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

This scripture broken down for we do not struggle with flesh and blood (people), but people are fighting with each other all the time. The second half of the scripture describes spirits we become  one with and begin to fight against each other. This took me a long time to grasp so if you don’t get it fully yet it’s ok.

I know this can be very deep for some people but WE must be able to separate the sin from the person. I am not saying you condone the sin, but recognize that that sin isn’t that person, this includes ourselves. When I know I am becoming bitter and resentful I must quickly learn to check myself….because it gets you know where. Over the next week I will be taking you through Henry Wrights 8 “R’s” to freedom. So you can know how to set yourself and others free.

Week 3 Day 2- Occultism

 Week 3 Day 2- Occultism

Occultism- theory or practice : belief in or study of the action or influence of supernatural or super-normal powers

The last out of the 7 Strongman spirits is Occultism

We don’t understand Occultism.  We think Occultism is like going to a fortune-teller, horoscopes, doing tea readings, playing with Ouija boards or having séances but Occultism is anything that offers itself as truth- in place of God- and it is not.  Occultism is a form of knowledge that offers itself as if it were the real thing.  Occultism is also a form of power and a form of identity.  Occultism is Fear and is based on the opposite of who God is and who you are in Him in truth, knowledge, position and identity.  If you are fearful and afraid of everything, you have a spirit of Fear and Cultic thinking becomes your identity.  Cultic thinking offers something that seems to be so real, yet it is counterfeit of the living God.

When you have Self-Hatred and you do not love yourself, even though you are commanded to love yourself, you have rejected the gospel of Christ and created another gospel.  If you reject the knowledge that you are commanded to love God, yourself and others, and choose to participate with Self-Hatred, then God cannot bless you while you are living and thinking a gospel that is heresy to Him.  Many diseases are the result of these character deficiencies and spiritual roots when you allow them to become part of your life.

When there is Occultism in a person, there is no rest.  There is no mental peace.  There is no spiritual peace with themselves, or with God or with others.  Where there is a leavened thought process, there is only torment and fear.  That is a tremendous proof of the power of occult influence.  We become a god unto ourselves, even in our own health.  It is just another form of disease management.  I consider most disease management to be occult in nature.  Even though it seems to give relief, it does not give the solution.  Everyone needs relief.
Occultism can become a religious artifact to create a form of godliness and to manage you spiritually.  Occultism has to be broken in a person’s life in order for them to be totally healed.  One of the Blocks to Healing is continued involvement in occult practices and mentality.

John 8:36  If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

The truth that becomes a way of life for you always brings a place of rest; it always produces a fruit called rest.  Jesus is called the Prince of Peace and said, “My peace I give unto you…..”  Hold out for that rest from heaven-that peace from heaven, not the peace that men can give.

Isaiah 28:12  To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

Occultism always takes away and divides.  The Kingdom of God always adds or multiplies things that are good for you (Pastor Henry Wright, “A More Excellent Way”)

Week 3 day 1- Unloving spirit

Week 3 Day 1- Unloving spirit

Unloving- The opposite of loving

Matthew 22:37-39

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself

The Unloving spirit rejects everything God has said about you in His word. (you are fearfully and wonderfully made, etc) and replaces God’s word with the enemies lies. These deceptions will prevent you from loving God, yourself, and others. It blocks you from receiving this love as well as giving it. (Henry Wright “A More Excellent Way”)

Do you or have you ever know someone who wasn’t affectionate? Didn’t hug, hold hands, or the opposite was overly affectionate, couldn’t receive compliments and tend to be very sensitive. This is an unloving spirit they might be dealing with.  People who end up getting any addictions in their life stem from the root in the need to be loved. They go and try and find love in all the wrong areas which most of the time leads to addictions.

Galatians 5:19

 19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery;

Remember, one can be addicted to almost anything: drugs, alcohol, sex, food, shopping, exercise, or anything to distract us from the feelings of being loved. They are trying to fill a void that only God can truly fill. Addictions are sins because you are saying through your actions God isn’t able to meet your needs. Your heart says: God, I need a fix that you cannot supply. I will get it myself.” Our comfort MUST be in God not in people , places, and things.

Week 2 Day 5- Jealousy and Envy

Week 2 Day 5- Jealousy and Envy

Jealousy- a jealous disposition, attitude, or feeling

Envy- painful or resentful awareness of an advantage enjoyed by another joined with a desire to possess the same advantage

Like all the other spirits here are other ones we we all can say we have encountered. Anytime we said ” I wish I had __ __________________________?” fill in the blank. Someones thick hair, someones flawless skin, someones money ect….. Jealousy is the
attitude and Envy is the painful awareness/desire .

Proverbs 14:30 (Amplified Bible)
30A calm and undisturbed mind and heart are the life and health of the body, but envy, jealousy, and wrath are like rottenness of the bones.

Rottenness to the bones, did you know the spiritual root for Osteoporosis is envy and jealousy. . But if you have any jealousy and envy this might hinder healing.

Be careful when you say you wished you had a life like____________________?. Because if there was a circle of 10 women and all their problems were in a bag and you started passing the bags around like hot potatoes. You would want your own bag of problems back, no matter how grand you thought another woman’s life is. Nothing is ever what it seems.

When it comes to weight loss I had many people look at me and think I made it after my transformation. Well, I am here to tell you just because I got my weight down doesn’t mean I am finished with my issues. Once again this is why I stress so deeply on making sure the issues are dealt with. Don’t be overwhelmed, but be happy about yourself and this process.

We all know the story of the butterfly. It can’t become a butterfly until it goes into it’s cocoon for a period of time. The PROCESS is what make the butterfly strong and beautiful. Stay the course

Start being thankful for where you are at and one day you will look up and you will have become more then you could have imagine.

Romans 13:11-14
11 And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. 12 The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. 13 Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. 14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.

Week 2 Day 4- Accusation

Week 2 Day 4- Accusation

Accusation- a charge of wrong doing

Revelation 12:10

10And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

We have all experienced the destructive work of accusation. It accuses us to ourselves, to others and to God. Accusing spirits are subtle in their charges. Remember, even 90 percent truth mixed with 10 percent lie still equals error. This mixture is deadly because it can subject believers to condemnation instead of conviction.

It is important to distinguish between conviction and condemnation. Conviction is specific and endures our value in God. Condemnation, on the other hand, tends to be vague and brings feelings of worthlessness. Conviction brings us to a point of wanting to get closer to God and in line with his Word, while condemnation drives us away from God’s word and brings feelings of wanting t give up.

Some (actions) or Fruits of accusation , how you know you or someone is operating out of accusation:

Holding a record of wrongs, murder of the tongue (gossip or cursing), mind control, scrambling thoughts, chaotic thinking, jumbled thought patterns, misunderstandings, projected fear, accusing another for your own sin,
burden bearing, and trying to be someone else’s Holy Spirit(wives are notorious for this one)

(Pastor Henry Wright, “A More Excellent Way”)

I have fallen into this category with my friends and my husband many of times, and it is just terrible! I have acted out on some of the above bad fruit of accusation. I would take on resentment and then when a conversation arises, I speak truth, but the way I said it can cuts to the bone.

Kris and I ‘s Marriage counselors have taught us that your tone, tact, and timing needs to be right right (Cedric and Michelle White, Healing thy Hearts Ministry). I am walking this out by not responding immediately, and re-evaluating my motives.

Why is Accusation a sin?
By accusing someone, you are telling God he is not needed in a particular situation. You have placed yourself in His shoes by deciding what would be right or wrong for someone else. Your heart says, “God, I will decide good and evil here.” Then you take great joy in sharing your “valuable” opinion with all.

I have to realize sometimes even if I am right, I don’t have to be, AND I don’t have to share my ‘vaulable” opinion. The struggle I have is when I am asked for my opinion. I have to discern Time, Tact, and watch my Tone and speak the truth in Love. This is the biggest thing I believe the Lord is working on me at this point in my life. He wants me to speak the truth, I got that down, it’s my presentation that can be disappointing.

1Corinthians 8:1b
Yet mere] knowledge causes people to be puffed up (to bear themselves loftily and be proud), but love (affection and goodwill and benevolence) edifies and builds up and encourages one to grow [to his full stature].

Week 2 Day 3- Rejection

Week 2 Day 3- Rejection

Rejection:
1: to refuse to accept, consider, submit to, take for some purpose, or use
2: : to refuse to hear, receive, or admit
3 : to refuse as lover or spouse

Rejection robs people of relationships. Rejection will make people feel that others don’t love them.
Rejection communicates that a person is unacceptable, of no value, doesn’t belong, unwanted, can’t fit in and unloved. Rejection communicates this message through a disgusted look, disdain, an impatient answer, a snub, through neglect, through abandoning someone, through silence. (Henry Wright, “A More Excellent Way”)

I have learned over the years there are some people who actually have become one with a deep rooted spirit of Rejection(mostly generational passed down from family)that stays with them until they discern and get delivered.. Rejection is considered one of the 7 Strongman Spirits along with Bitterness that we saw yesterday.

We have all dealt with a form of rejection in our lives whether from our parents, divorce, even to not being invited to a party, ect… For me rejection creeped in Jr. High and high school school days through my father.  I was driven by performance. My father was the type of person who was always early or on time to everything, always knew the weather before the meteorologist, and planned out his whole year,.

Below are some examples of how performance driven my father was towards me that led to me becoming one with rejection. When I was a sophomore in HS and my Dad was pushing me in soccer to get All- State in Ohio (which means you are the top 25th player in the State) I trained with the best team, went to the best camps but just didn’t make it. I could tell my Dad was disappointed. REJECTION, so what did I do, I worked harder.

Two years later I surpassed All State and I became All-American (Top 25th player in the United States). My fathers comment was you could have gotten this award all along. :(

I went to college to play soccer at University of Kentucky, by my Sophomore year I was burnt out and wanted to quit. I ended up breaking my leg going into my Junior year and dropped out of school altogether. My father told me I would never make it without a college degree and pretty much stopped talking to me out of embarrassment for a period of time. REJECTION again, so what did I do, I moved to Texas, rehabbed my leg, trained with a women’s team harder then I ever have. So at 27yrs old got another soccer scholarship back to school  (Texas Wesleyan) and Graduated!

There are many other circumstances but you get the idea of how I was rejected through performance / driven spirit I came back and did better to feel loved by my father.

I have forgiven my father because I realized, as I recognized the pattern, my dad did this because it was done to him, and it was done out of fear. My dad wanted to make sure I didn’t hang around the crowd doing drugs, or get pregnant so this is how he chose to motivate me.
Others forms of rejection can come in an abandonment situation, an adoption, unemotional parents, ect… . It wasn’t until I was 32 yrs old I realized the pattern that my father had been putting me through, I was able to break it. I am still fighting hard to watch that I do not have these patterns with my children.

Father in the name of Jesus, I speak now to the spirit of Rejection, and it can no longer try and rule over anyone reading this now. I pray that every person reading this that has dealt with this spirit recognize, repent , and renounce it from their lives forever. Father I release the power of the Holy Spirit to fill that void that the spirit of Rejection left and may they lift their head high and walk with no fear. AMEN

Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Week 2 Day 2- Bitterness

Bitterness- exhibiting intense animosity

Hebrews 12:15 (New King James Version)
15 looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

Bitterness corrodes like acid, eating away at our soul. It poisons first the mind and then the body. It is often marked by cynicism and animosity towards others. Bitterness is a STRONG MAN kept in a place by several underlings

I struggled with bitterness for years and still sometimes it tries to creep up in me. Little frustrations about life can turn into big time bitterness I have learned over the years. It is just not worth it, walking around in a terrible mood, with a frown on your face. I can walk into a room full of women and within 5 minutes tell you who is bitter. Because I can recognize the familiar spirit, and it is sad when I see people tormented by Bitterness.

Bitterness is also emotional weight that you can carry around that literally puts WEIGHT on you. When I went through my own personal transformation over 4 years ago the Lord showed me that losing weight was more then just working out and eating right. I needed to rid myself of generational anger, and bitterness towards my mother-in-law. He showed me this emotional weight (feelings) I had towards another person was WEIGHING me down. I will tell you it wasn’t easy, because it was like I wanted to be mad at her. But then I realized being mad at her because of how she felt about me was actually letting her control my life. So I repented and lost 9 lbs in 1 week.

Why is bitterness a sin? By holding on to bitterness, you are telling God he is not needed in this situation. You have placed yourself in his shoes by judging someone else for what they have done, either you or to someone close to you. Your heart says “God, I will execute judgement here.” But, scripture clearly tells us vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19)

God’s word says unless we forgiving of those who trespass against us, God will not forgive our sins (Mathew 6:15, and Mark 11:26)

Week 2 Day 1- Fear Not

Week 2 Day 1- Fear Not
Fear- to be afraid of : expect with alarm <fear the worst>
Fear is a curse and it produces bondage. Every time you recognize Fear=
rising up( meaning overwhelming feelings of feeling stuck or trapped in a =
situation) you have to respond with what you are going to believe. There ar=
e over 4,000 fears (Henry Eright “More Excellent Way). Fear of people, fear=
of getting pregnant, fear of sickness, fear of death, fear of poverty, ect=
….on and on….
There are so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification. 1Corinthians 14:10
Any thought that comes to you from another voice or from your own thought process which contradicts the Word of God is an anti-christ thought.
The spirit of Fear is an anti-christ spirit because they debate and dethrone the Word of God in your life. They cast down what God has said about His faithfulness to you (You only would know this by reading what he promises us I the Bible). You must get to a place where you understand and believe that you are accepted of God and loved by God. If you are not perfect in the love of God and you have Fear within you, then torment comes. It is torment of the spirit and torment of the soul. That is the mind body connection and you eventually be affected physically. Sinus infections, asthma, stomach problems, hives..are to name a few things that can affect you physically because of fear.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 1John 4:18

When you have Fear, you are not made perfect in love. You are unable to give and receive love properly . Lack of love and the presence of Fear go hand in hand. If there is no Fear in love and you are complete in Love, Fear has to go. You have to accept that you are loved by God and you are eternally preserved for Him forever. If you are complete in God’s love and he is in control, why should you fear?
Faith represents your future. Fear represents the destruction of your future. Faith and Fear are equal in this dimension: they both demand to be fulfilled.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

Your hopes motivate you because that is what faith is. Faith involves God’s plan for you. Your hopes need to be based on the known will and knowledge of God as revealed by the Word of God. Fear will try to create your future. It projects into the future, based on your past. What you are meditating on or thinking about every day occupies your mind. You may be meditating on the good things or you may be thinking about all the things that will go wrong in your life today and tomorrow. The object of your fear is not only being projected into tomorrow, but also yesterday’s projected fear is here today. If Fear is a
form of faith and you believe what Fear says and not what God says, then according to your Fear-faith so be it unto you. Both are demanding to be fulfilled. Which one are you fulfilling?
Faith will always defeat Fear, because faith is a work of the Holy Spirit. Fear is a work of the created being named Lucifer, who fell and became Satan.( Section taking from Henry Wright “A More Excellent Way”)
Lastly, Jesus said “FEAR NOT” 365 timess in the Bible, basically everyday……….so go and Take your Peace…
