Testimony for Trainer Janet

My Search for Significance
bad habits, hang ups, and strongholds plagued the young-adult years of my
life. One bad decision after the other, I continued to search for my
significance, purpose and value through my bank account, my boyfriend and my
career. I had a strong foundation from my childhood. I had the knowledge but
there was no practical application in my life. I knew what was right but I was
living life by my own moral code justifying every decision. On the outside, I
was the girl that had it altogether. But you know what they say, “If you aren’t
humble yet, you are about to be!” and  “Pride comes before the fall.” Let’s just
say that I have had enough humble pie. Thank God for new taste buds!
did just enough to get by and ease my guilty conscience. Went to church “just
enough”. Tithed “just enough”. Prayed “just enough”. Most would call this “Going
through the Motions” but was my tree bearing any fruit? No, it was STARVING. I
conformed to the world. I was addicted to and sought comfort and pleasure in
climbing the corporate ladder, counting the money in my bank account,
drinking/partying, sexual relationships, buying what I wanted when I wanted it.
I was blazing my own trails all the while thinking I’d be the statistic anomaly
that would make it work MY way. Do you know where that led me? Divorced, in
debt, broken, and just rather unhappy with myself. (The wages of sin is death
<Divorce, Disease, Depression, Addiction, etc> but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23)
a girl that has always struggled with pride and people-pleasing, needless to
say, I was rather embarrassed by the outcome of my bad decisions. I had
conformed to the world and there was just no real difference in me, someone who
claimed to be a Christian (Christ-Follower) and the rest of the world. (Romans
12:2. Do not conform to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your
mind….) When I finally took a BIG GULP, swallowed my pride, admitted that I
wasn’t perfect, sought help/healing/counseling, and made the decision to give it
all to Jesus, I felt FREE for the 1st time in my life. I felt redeemed, forgiven
and lighter than I’d ever felt before. (Isaiah 53:5. But He was pierced for our
transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought
us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are HEALED.)
I still struggle? Yes. Will I always struggle? Yes. We are all sinners. (Romans
5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still
sinners, Christ died for us.)  BUT I rest in knowing Who set me free, Who holds
my purpose in His hands, Who has already overcome for me.”I have told you these
things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble.
But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33. I know Who to turn to
when I face a difficult decision. I find comfort and rest in my Almighty God. He
was there every step of the way, waiting patiently for me to turn to Him.
(Hebrews 13:5, Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with
what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I
forsake you.”
scars are reminders of my trips off the beaten path. They remind me of my
weakness, my fragility and pride. I am not proud of them but I am thankful
for God’s grace and mercy. God will use all of our tattered fabric and turn it
into a beautiful tapestry. He will take all the thorns and turn them into a
crown. He will use it for His glory. I share my story with you so that you may
find and experience the kind of freedom that I feel today. I want my life and
everything that I do to glorify Him. 1 Peter 1:3-9 sums it all up!!!
3Praise be to the God and Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy he has given us NEW BIRTH into a
living HOPE through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that
can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you,
5 who through faith
are shielded by God’s POWER until the coming of the salvation that is ready to
be revealed in the last time. 6 In all this you greatly
rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all
kinds of trials. 7
These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth
than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise,
glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8 Though you have not seen Him,
you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are
filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the end
result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”

The 7th R is Rejoice.

Give God the glory for your freedom. Give God the thanks that a piece of dust like you could experience grace and mercy from a living God Who loves you. He is worthy of your praise. The greatest song of worship, power and majesty is in

Isaish 35:1-10
The Future Glory of Zion

1 The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them,
And the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose;
2 It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice,
Even with joy and singing.
The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it,
The excellence of Carmel and Sharon.
They shall see the glory of the LORD,
The excellency of our God.
3 Strengthen the weak hands,
And make firm the feeble knees.
4 Say to those who are fearful-hearted,
” Be strong, do not fear!
Behold, your God will come with vengeance,
With the recompense of God;
He will come and save you.”
5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened,
And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
6 Then the lame shall leap like a deer,
And the tongue of the dumb sing.
For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness,
And streams in the desert.
7 The parched ground shall become a pool,
And the thirsty land springs of water;
In the habitation of jackals, where each lay,
There shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
8 A highway shall be there, and a road,
And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness.
The unclean shall not pass over it,
But it shall be for others.
Whoever walks the road, although a fool,
Shall not go astray.
9 No lion shall be there,
Nor shall any ravenous beast go up on it;
It shall not be found there.
But the redeemed shall walk there,
10 And the ransomed of the LORD shall return,
And come to Zion with singing,
With everlasting joy on their heads.
They shall obtain joy and gladness,
And sorrow and sighing shall flee away

Resist- to exert oneself so as to counteract or defeat <he resisted temptation

When your issue tries to come back resist it

Number six “R” to freedom is resist. James 4:7 says that we are to submit ourselves therefore to God. Then, resist the devil and he will flee from you.

The next scripture is tough
2 Corinthians 10:6 “Having a readiness to avenge all disobedience after your disobedience is fulfilled.” Do you remember what Samuel said to Saul?

1 Samuel 15:23: “Obedience is greater then Sacrifice, for rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft and idolatry.

What you have dealt with will try to come back. Luke 11:24, When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. That house is you. This is why when you repent and ask for forgiveness for something, say Anger, that it will try and come back. We see this all the time with domestic violence cases. Most of the time they are men beating the women, ( but woman DO beat men) for the most part the person is very remorseful later and begs for the one they beat to come back, and they promise never to do it again. This is a prime example of how you must repent and recognize when anger (or whatever your thing is) tries to come back and resist the temptation to act on it.

That is why we need God and each other. (Henry Wright, “A More Excellent Way”)

Even though I have been delivered from anger and bitterness, it doesn’t mean these spirits don’t try and come back. I now have learned, recognized, and discerned when they are trying to re operate in my life. Remember everyone is different once you are delivered from your thing: depression, self image, laziness, overeating, stealing , lying, ect…… this means you have taken your issue through the 6 “R’s” up to this point and you can recognize when they try to come back. If you fail the test and you fall off the wagon, get right back up. In the beginning you might feel overwhelmed that your fighting these thoughts off multiple times a day, but stay accountable and in prayer. Eventually, it will become easier and you will have victory.

You see the correlation between the above and losing weight and eating right, if you fall off the wagon don’t quit, get back up again

Remove- to change the location, position, station, or residence of

Get rid of this ISSUE for once and all!

The fifth R to Freedom is remove what you have renounced. I can bring you to a place of recognition (discernment) responsibility, repentance, and renouncing openly what evil stands for in your life, but have you removed it? Removing sin is this: not only have I renounced you, but you and I cannot exist at the same place at the same time together. I am removing you:you have to go. (Henry Wright “A More Excellent Way”)

If any of you are confused, with any of the words, then I encourage you to do a word study. Ask God to reveal to you what it is you need to be taking through the 8 R’s……Think of the one issue that you act out, think about or do that you shouldn’t. If you are understanding these principals you can start going through any others that you might be dealing with. Below is a sample prayer:

Father in the name of Jesus, I come to you and ask for forgiveness for any sins I know about and the ones I may not know about. I come asking forgiveness for becoming one with any spirits of _______(name yours)____________________ ie:Fear, rejection, anger, gossip, complaining, pity (low self image) denial, laziness, procrastination ect……

I recognize that I have done this or have been acting this out, I repent now in the name of Jesus. I renounce it and remove it from my life forever, never to return. I thank you Father, for forgiving and healing me. I ask the Holy Spirit to fill the void or hole where ________________(name yours again)______________ use to be. AMEN

Some of you a huge weight will be lifted and you will see the affects immediately, others of you as you do this you will see the literal weight on you begin to drop over the course of a month. Like I have mentioned many times about myself with Bitterness and Anger, when I repented and removed it  I dropped 9 lbs. Do I still deal with bitterness and Anger, absolutely, I get triggered but I have knowledge on how I choose to respond.

Renounce- to refuse to follow, obey, or recognize any further

You must make what you recognize your enemy and Renounce it

After you have repented, which means taking responsibility after recognition and discernment, the next step is to renounce. A lot of people repent, but they don’t mean it. A lot of people have remorse, but they don’t change on the inside. To repent literally means to “turn away from.” There are many scriptures in the Bible where God told u to get away from idols and heathen practices because they will ruin us.

1 Corinthians 10:21-22 (Amplified Bible)
21You cannot drink the Lord’s cup and the demons’ cup. You cannot partake of the Lord’s table and the demons’ table. 22Shall we thus provoke the Lord to jealousy and anger and indignation? Are we stronger than He [that we should defy Him]?

Get away from evil- renounce it as fast as you can. Develop a perfect hatred for the evil in your life. Separate yourself from evil he does. Learn to separate yourself and others from their sin (Pastor Henry Wright)

What are you doing that you need to turn away from?  Take inventory and be like Nike “Just Do It”

This is the 3rd “R” after Recognize, take Responsibility, is now Repent

repentance the action or process of repenting especially for misdeeds or moral shortcomings

Acts 3:19 (Amplified Bible)
19So repent (change your mind and purpose); turn around and return [to God], that your sins may be erased (blotted out, wiped clean), that times of refreshing (of recovering from the effects of heat, of reviving with fresh air) may come from the presence of the Lord;

Do you want times of refreshing to come from the Lord in you life? Are you tired of the blistering heat of disease? Are you ready for the oasis? Where you are saying “Is this as good as it gets” You wont get there unless you repent first.

There are so many situations in the Bible where repentance is spoken. And if God commands it then why aren’t we doing it? Well, Pride sets in and their desire be hard in front of man is greater than there desire to be pure in front of the Lord.

I believe that people look at the word repentance as this big, dreadful action they have to do. Let me encourage you, this is the thing that makes you “whole” if this is overwhelming because you feel like you have a lot to repent for, don’t worry, start with the thing you know you do now for sure.

Some examples I have heard women or (myself) deal with is manipulation (towards spouse or kids), financial infidelity (hiding or spending money without spouse’s knowledge), emotional affairs (chatting, texting, or facebooking) with other men that is inappropriate, any behavior you wouldn’t want your spouse doing. I could even go as far as saying watching tv shows like Desperate Housewives and wishing you had an exciting life-like they are living.

If you are a single woman with children. Talking or doing something in front of your children that is inappropriate such as bad mouthing their father where they can hear, or having relationships that confuse the children. Remember they are watching and they will follow, so are your actions lining up with how you want your children to be?

If you are married, quit worrying about what your husband isn’t doing right and start with yourself, because no matter where you go, you are still with you. So change the common denominator first….YOU!!

1 John 1:9 (Amplified Bible)
9If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action].

Take Responsibilty

Responsibility- moral, legal, or mental accountability : reliability, trustworthiness

The 2nd “R” is Responsibility, where you have recognized what you have been operating out of (bitterness, anger, addictive personality,manipulative/controlling, ect..) Not everyone wants to do this, Some people have said ” Well God Bless, that’s just the way I am.” What about the scripture that says ” From Glory to Glory we are changed”? 2 Corinthians 3:18,

If you are saying “that’s just the way I am” then you are making excuses for yourself and you are wrong. Or when people say “This is how God created me, if he wants me to change he would have do it.” But the reality is, (if you are saying this) God couldn’t change you, because you wont let him and that is not right either.

People who deal with Pride issues, have a hard for time taking responsibility for their actions, these are the same people that cant say they are sorry first, say sorry at all, or say sorry real quick to be done with it, but really don’t mean it.

The first 2 years I was married, I never said Sorry to Kris,  when I was in the wrong. The Lord convicted me, and told me for an entire year I had to say I was sorry first, regardless if I was at fault….whhhoooo. but now I don’t have the issue.

Inventory self check- respond to the blog if you have questions. Dont be the one in the dark wishing you would have asked, be set free!

1.Recognize: to acknowledge formally: as

You must recognize what IT is? What is your Tt, take aother look at the 7 Main spirits people battle with, what is your it?

Recognize the problem-( have discernment ). In Isaiah 5:13, God said, My people have gone into captivity because they have no knowledge. They had no discernment.

In Hosea 4:6, God said, My people parish for lack of Knowledge.

They had no discernment. Hebrews 5:14 tells us that strong meat belongs to those of full aged, even those that by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good an evil. Not just good—you must be able to discern evil also. (Henry Wright “A More Excellent Way)

There are 2 gifts from the Holy Spirit taught in the 1 Corinthians 12. One is the gift of wisdom and the other is the gift of knowledge. What I am giving you now? I am operating in the gift of Knowledge and the gift of wisdom is in your life right now. I am also operating in the gift of faith. (Henry Wright “A More Excellent Way)

Knowledge ties the past to the present, but
wisdom takes the present and moves it into the future

We are taking your past and bringing it to the present so you can see what in the world is going on in your present state. Then God , through wisdom, can take you into your future to change your circumstances. It’s going to take faith and the work of the Holy Spirit to do the rest of it, but we have to be able to teach first because the faith comes from hearing the Word of God

(Romans 10:17)
17So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

So as you begin your journey, be encouraged and FEAR NOT your Lord God is with you wherever you go, and this class was a vehicle created to come alongside you and help you with this journey. Some of the most incredible friends I have , God brought them to this class. I have trained of 120+ women through this class over the last 5 years and I keep in contact with almost all of them on some level. All of You will be no different

8 R’s

The 8 R’s listed below, I learned from Henry Wright’s Ministry , “A More Excellent Way” I will begin to touch on each of them over the next few weeks.

Have you ever said to yourself, “why am I hear again.”  If you don’t want to continue on facing the same Giants or coming around the same mountains then follow the  R’s and set yourself free. Start to recognize the patterns. We will get more into this when I later in the weeks talk about the soul issues. As we move forward throughout the next several weeks if something comes up in the devotionals that you might have an issue with please come back to the R’s.

When I first learned of the R’s and thought about all the issue I had going on in my life, I was so overwhelmed. I just started knocking them out 1 by 1. Dont get overwhelmed, start with 1 and move on to the next. This is how you work on Wholeness.

Strong Man Spirits

- The Strong Man Spirits

Last week, Monday and yesterday I went through the 7 Strong Man spirits.
1.) Bitterness
2.) Rejection
3.) Accusation
4.) Occultism
5.) Jealousy and Envy
6.) Unloving/Addictions
7.) Fear

There are more but these are the “Big Dogs”.

For instance, unforgiveness,
resentment, murder (murder of the mouth), retaliation all are underlings to

I will discuss others but if you focus on the Main Strong Man then
you may knock out many. For the rest of the week I will be sharing with you what
to do, how to discern (recognize) them not only with you but with others around

Being able to understand why a person who is fine one minute and then all
of a sudden get triggered and become fearful, or in rage/anger, or depressed.
Well the bible tells us

12 For our struggle is
not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities,
against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil
in the heavenly realms
This scripture broken down for we do not struggle with flesh and blood
(people), but people are fighting with each other all the time.
 The second half
of the scripture describes spirits we become  one with and begin to fight
against each other. This took me a long time to grasp so if you don’t get it
fully yet, it’s ok.
I know this can be very deep for some people but WE must be able to
separate the sin from the person. I am not saying you condone the sin, but
recognize that sin isn’t that person, this includes ourselves. When I know
I am becoming bitter and resentful I must quickly learn to check
myself….because it gets you know where.
Over the next week I will be taking
you through Henry Wrights 8 “R’s” to freedom. So you can know how to set
yourself and others free.
